Terms of Service
1. About us
Annual Accounts is a service designed to help UK micro-companies prepare and file their statutory accounts and corporation tax returns. We provide a simplified experience where users answer questions about their business, and we use that information to prepare and submit filings on their behalf.
2. Our service
We provide preparation of statutory accounts (micro-entity / FRS105 where applicable), preparation of corporation tax returns (CT600), and submission of filings to Companies House and HMRC (where authorised). Our service is based entirely on the information you provide to us.
3. Eligibility
Our service is designed for simple UK micro-companies with straightforward finances. By using this service, you confirm that your company meets the eligibility criteria outlined on our website and that your financial affairs are suitable for this type of service. We may decline or cancel service if we believe your company falls outside our intended scope.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, ensuring all answers in the form are correct, and informing us of anything that may affect your accounts or tax position. Before any filing is submitted, you will be asked to confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete. We rely entirely on your responses to prepare your filings.
5. No accounting or tax advice
Annual Accounts provides a filing service, not bespoke accounting or tax advice. We do not provide tailored tax planning advice, review external financial records, or act as your accountant in a broader capacity. If you require advice beyond simple filing, you should consult a qualified accountant.
6. Acting as agent
Where required, we will act as your agent for the purpose of submitting filings to HMRC and Companies House. You agree to provide any necessary authorisations and supply authentication details (such as your Companies House authentication code). We cannot submit filings until appropriate authorisation is in place.
7. Submission of filings
We will prepare draft filings for your review and provide a summary of key figures. We will only submit filings after your confirmation. Once submitted, filings are sent to HMRC and/or Companies House and acceptance is subject to their systems and validation.
8. Fees and payment
Fees are displayed clearly on our website and payment page. By purchasing, you agree to pay the stated fee (inclusive of VAT where applicable). Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.
9. Turnaround time
We aim to process filings promptly after receiving your completed information and payment. However, turnaround times are not guaranteed and delays may occur due to missing information, authorisation, or external systems.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by you. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
11. Service limitations
Our service is not suitable for complex companies, companies with significant assets or stock, or companies with complex tax matters. We reserve the right to decline or stop work if a case falls outside our scope.
12. Data and privacy
We collect and process your data in order to prepare your accounts and tax filings, communicate with you, and submit filings on your behalf. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
13. Changes to the service
We may update or modify the service at any time, including pricing and features.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
